Thanks to our friend Dave Glantz @davidglantztattoos for inspiring our theme and sharing these images with us.

How did he inspire it, you ask? Well, Rob (@bass_junky ) was on the convention floor in Toronto when he overheard Dave asking Andrea (@necromandrea ) – if she happened to have a cherry tattoo on her ankle? And if so, were they done in Ottawa 15 years ago... When she said yes! David smiled and told her that they were one of his first tattoos.

Rob was reminded of this story a few days ago, and we reached out to Dave for other examples of his early work. Here’s what he shared with us:

“Sailor girl - my very first, on my ankle. Healed 15 years at the time of pic. Still there”

“Rose - my second, on my inner calf. It was black and grey and got coloured about two months later. Healed 15 years at the time of pic. Still there”

“Swallows 1 & 2 - first official colour tattoos before Andrea’s. Healed 15 years at the time of the pic.”
