This is the first book we’ve carried from Argentina-based, traditional tattooist Mariano Castiglioni. A Covid-era lock down project, “Hecho En Casa” translates to “Made at Home”.

We’ll let Mariano tell us about the book's inspiration:

“In March 2020, the quarantine imposed a new way of life on all of us in Argentina. My profession, like so many others, suffered, but not my passion for developing my creative side. Slowly and consistently, I removed the rust of my hands and my head. Day after day, almost as a ritual, I saw myself painting characters and fantasy stories in different places in the house, influenced by different cultures and styles. Without noticing it, they were months of painting and painting. Every time it was time to start or follow a painting, I managed to fully descend into the watercolor and enjoy my parallel reality to the global health crisis. Hecho en Casa reflects the return to one of my loves, which is painting: my refuge in the world of fantasy characters.”
