JAX ARTIST PICKS

Now 13 years into her tattooing career, Jax and her husband Chris own @memento_mori_studios (one in Abbotsford and another shop in Chilliwack).

In her work, she draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the West Coast—from the flowing Fraser River to the heights of Sumas Mountains as well as the rich colours, textures, and details of local plants and birds. You can see this in her art; Jax is a versatile artist excelling in a wide range of styles, from delicate colour work to bold black and grey.

When not in the shop, you guessed it, you’ll find her soaking up the sunshine on her paddleboard, or spending quality time with close friends and fur-babies.
