Healing & Protection

Eikon DERM provides the optimal environment for your new tattoo to heal, and ensure the best possible results.

Simple & Easy Application

The best way to ensure that your client follows your aftercare instructions, is to make it easy for them to do. Eikon DERM’s 3-step application ensures that applying it in the shop, or at home, is as easy as 1,2,3 (I can't believe I just typed that).

• 3-Step Application: Both the 4-inch and 6-inch rolls come with pre-printed instructions for easy application.
• Centering Strips: The 6-inch bandage has two 1-inch centering strips that provide an easy, non-stick grip when centering the bandage over a fresh tattoo.
• Grid-Style Backing: Cut the right size every time using our double grid, printed with both 1cm and 1-inch squares.

How to Apply

• Clean and dry the area to ensure that all residues have been removed from the skin.
• Cut Eikon DERM to allow at least a 1-inch border around the tattooed area (it’s okay to have overlapping pieces).

For the 6-inch Roll

• Peel off (1) the 4-inch paper backing window to expose the adhesive side. Use the centering strips to hold the bandage in position and apply it over the tattoo, keeping it as centered as possible.
• Peel off both of the centering strips (2).
• Use light pressure to smooth the bandage from the center outward.
• Peel off the protective top layer (3) using the center black strip.

For the 4-inch Roll

• Peel off (1) the 1 ¼ inch paper backing strip. Use the larger side to line up the bandage off to the side of the tattoo, making sure the center is behind the larger, still covered, piece.
• Peel off the larger strip (2).
• Use light pressure to smooth the bandage from the center outward.
• Peel off the protective top layer (3) using the center black strip.

Leave Eikon DERM on for 12-24 hours. Afterwards, remove the old bandage, clean the area, and apply a fresh DERM. This can now be worn for 3-5 days. Important: Do not wear it for more than 7 consecutive days.

Insider Tip 1: The weakest spot on any transparent bandage is the corners. For a more firm, longer-lasting grip, try rounding the corners with scissors before applying the bandage.

Insider Tip 2: To ensure that your client won't have a reaction to the bandage, cut off a small strip and apply it to an area of their skin that’s not being tattooed (tip: test on a sensitive area, like the inner elbow)
