Some GOOD News, FINALLY! Glove Price Drop & MORE!... Update - July 2021
The glimmer of light at the end of the COVID-tunnel is getting a little brighter today… the costs of gloves and other PPE seem to have peaked over the past couple of months and prices are actually starting to decrease!
Glove Update …
Back in June, manufacturers were projecting additional price increases on gloves this summer, but we have now been informed that the costs of medical exam gloves are actually beginning to shift downward again. These cost reductions apply to nitrile exam gloves (all colours), as well as vinyl and latex exam gloves. As a result, we are pleased to be able to pass these savings on to you!
Starting today, you will see new, lower prices on all brands of medical-grade nitrile gloves in the Eikon store. We are also removing the order quantity restrictions on PriMed Vitality Nitrile gloves. You can now purchase as many boxes as you need - no problem.
Mask Update … more good news!
The costs of medical-grade masks are also dropping, even more quickly than exam gloves. In response, we are again reducing the price of PriMED brand medical-grade masks, as well as reintroducing the quantity discount pricing so you’ll save even more when buying 5 boxes or more!
Surface Disinfectant Update … even more good news!
Our surface disinfectant suppliers have reported that the production delays experienced through the last half of 2020, and the first half of 2021 have been resolved. They now stock healthy inventory levels in their warehouses. Suppliers have also lifted their purchasing allocation restrictions, which in turn allows us to remove the purchase quantity restrictions we have had in place in our store. You are now able to stock up on as much surface disinfectant as you need to operate your business… yes, including Cavicide1.
We know the last few months have not been easy, and there is still a long way to go before we see the new normal, but these are the first steps in that direction. We will continue to keep you informed of any updates as we become aware of them.
