Dermaglo Tattoo Ink - Dermaglo Tattoo Ink
Why Artists Choose Dermaglo Tattoo Ink
The Dermaglo ink collection works with practically no effort whatsoever. The micro-dispersed pigment formula flows smooth through cartridge needles and traditional setups, no shaking, no settling, no sorting through bottles. All our colours work the same way: consistent saturation from the first pass to the last. You set your depth once and it stays there.
Made in Blyth, UK since 2002, Dermaglo is a family-owned brand, not a corporate roll-up. Founder Geordie Scott spent over 40 years refining these formulations before his daughter Lorraine took over in 2024. The brand quietly does its thing: same formulas, same quality, same price structure year after year. No hype drops. No limited runs. Just reliable professional tattoo supplies you can count on, including Dermaglo ink in Canada.
Eikon is the exclusive Canadian distributor and one of only two authorized North American vendors. We've stocked Dermaglo golden yellow and the full line for over 15 years because it fills a specific need, traditional artists who want UK-style colours without the UK-style wait times or import hassles. Same-day shipping across Canada. Real support in English and French. Add to cart and it ships today.
The Full Colour Series
The standard line includes 24 colours across blacks, reds, blues, greens, and specialty shades. Black Redi-Mix is the workhorse lining black, one verified customer used it as their daily driver for 15 years straight. Canary Yellow, Naval Orange, Bubblegum Pink, and Lunar Green are Eikon's best-sellers. Every bottle is vegan-friendly with a 3-year shelf life from the manufacture date printed on the label.
June 2024 brought the first new colours in a decade: Deep Crimson Red, True Love Red, Ocean Blue, and Aqua Foam. These four Rising Stars fill gaps in the traditional palette, richer, deeper versions of classic shades. Ocean Blue sits between Light Blue and Midnight Blue. Aqua Foam is darker and more saturated than the original Turquoise. True Love Red replaced the discontinued Dark Red without changing the formula approach.
How Dermaglo Compares to Other Ink Brands
Dermaglo sits in the mid-tier price bracket, $21–$31 USD for 50–100 ml bottles at Eikon. It's not the cheapest option and it's not trying to be. The value is in formulation stability. These colours haven't changed in decades. If you dialed in a mix ratio five years ago, it still works today. That's the opposite of trend-chasing brands that reformulate every product cycle.
The micro-dispersed pigment structure means the ink flows clean through any needle configuration. Mags, round liners, tight groupings, it packs in evenly without blowouts or patchiness. Artists using cartridge systems report zero clogging. The word from long-term users is consistent: it just works, session after session.
Vegan-Friendly and UK-Made
Every colour in the Dermaglo line is vegan-friendly, no animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing. The brand manufactures everything in-house at their Blyth, Northumberland facility. That's the same address as Geordie Scott's Tattooland studio, where the formulas were developed and tested on real skin for four decades before going to market.
UK manufacturing means the brand follows stricter ingredient and labeling standards than many overseas suppliers. Each bottle is batch-numbered and dated. If you need an SDS sheet, it's available directly from the vendor. The supply chain is short and accountable, one factory, one family, one standard.

What Artists Ask About Dermaglo
The most common question: how does Dermaglo White compare to Smooth White? Both are opaque mixing whites. Smooth White has a slightly thinner viscosity and is easier to blend into pastel tones. Standard White holds its opacity better in dense colour packs. Neither one is "better"; it depends on whether you're mixing washes or building solid coverage.
Second question: what tattoo ink should you avoid? Any brand without batch numbers, manufacture dates, or ingredient transparency. If the vendor can't provide an SDS sheet or won't tell you where it's made, that's a red flag. Dermaglo prints the manufacture date on every bottle and provides full documentation on request. That's baseline accountability.
Third question: where else can you buy Dermaglo? In Canada, only at Eikon. In the US, one other authorized distributor carries it (some SKUs are currently unavailable for US shipping due to tariffs). Everywhere else, you're ordering from the UK and paying international shipping plus import fees. Eikon eliminates that friction for Canadian artists.
