Safety Cartridges - Open Liners
4764-07-20Product Description
Cheyenne® Safety Open Liners were designed to provide artists with the ability to pull rich, precise lines, from crisp to bold.
Cheyenne Open Liners are similar to a round shader, which sees the needles run parallel to the tip, and not squeezed conically like a traditional liner. Unlike a round shader, the needles used in Open round liners are stiffer due to their higher solder length, while still maintaining the long taper liners are known for.
Cheyenne Safety Open Liners offer five defined needle groupings (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and Extra X-Large) for five different line thicknesses. As the needle count goes up, so does the needle diameter.

Why Choose Cheyenne Cartridges?
Safety Cartridges
The OG…Cheyenne® Safety Cartridges are still as popular as they were when they were introduced in 2015. Currently available in 61 configurations (including 11-Mags, one of the only good things to happen in 2020...), two taper options and four needle sizes. Like all Cheyenne cartridges, the Safety line features Cheyenne’s high-quality needles and patented membrane.
Craft Clear Cartridges
Don't let the lower price fool you, Cheyenne® Craft Clear cartridges are made with the same high quality needles and safety membrane as their Safety and Capillary lines, with one difference: the one-piece mould costs less to produce, so the team at Cheyenne passed the savings on to you. Made from transparent plastic, Craft Clear cartridges provide you with a better view of your ink while you work. Available in boxes of 20 cartridges.
Capillary Cartridges
While the math is still out on exactly how much more flow these cartridges offer, there’s no doubt that Cheyenne® Capillary Cartridges hold more ink and disperse it over a longer duration than traditional cartridges. This means you’ll spend less time dipping back into the well and more time laying down lines. Cheyenne’s Capillary Cartridges guarantee you an evenly distributed ink flow that lasts longer after each dip. For this reason, capillary cartridges are a fan favorite of Black and Grey artists because of the amount of ink they hold and produce while lining and filling large areas.
Cheyenne Capillary Cartridges are available in 18 different configurations in the following groupings: Liner, Magnum and Soft Edge Magnum.
Open LIners
Cheyenne® calls these liners “Open” because of their “non-compressed” similarities to a round shader which sees the needles run parallel to the tip, and not squeezed conically like most liners. Unlike a round shader, the needles used in Open round liners are stiffer due to their higher solder length, while keeping the long taper that liners are known for.
Cheyenne Open Liners are part of the Safety Cartridge line-up and come housed in a two-piece, medical-grade plastic mold with a clear tip. Like all Safety cartridges, the bottom of the cartridge is colour-coded for easy identification.
