Which Fusion tattoo ink set to start with

Fusion's boxed sets come four ways: the colour sets, the five-step shading sets, the Muted Color Set, and the Rick Walters set. The whole line and the Gradient System (Fusion's main colours pre-lightened in numbered steps) are on the Fusion tattoo ink page; this page only sorts the boxes.

The colour sets: 12-Colour Sample Set and 60-Colour Set

The 12-Colour Sample Set is Fusion's trial-size sampler. The 60-Colour Set is the everyday colours in one order. Sixty is the set's size, not the line's; a Standard colour the box does not hold is one order away as a single.

The five-step shading sets

Each shading set runs Extra Light, Light, Medium, Dark, Extra Dark, already mixed.

The Muted Color Set (softer colours)

Five toned-down colours, blue, green, purple, red and yellow, for work that wants colour without the punch.

The Rick Walters set

The 8-Colour Rick Walters Signature Palette Set is an American Traditional working palette, released as a posthumous tribute to Walters. It comes boxed; the other signature palettes come as singles.

About Fusion Ink

Fusion is a US-made ink, founded in 2009 and owned and run today by tattooist Jason Guy and his family. Fusion also sells its main colours pre-lightened in numbered steps, one bottle each; those are on the Fusion tattoo ink page.

Is Fusion ink Health-Canada notified?

Eikon carries Fusion because it comes from a Health-Canada-notified brand, and we confirm that status before we bring in any ink. Notifying Health Canada is what makes an ink lawful to sell here; there is no government test an ink passes first.

Health Canada sets the impurity and microbial benchmarks — lead at or under 10 ppm, arsenic and cadmium 3, mercury 1, antimony 5, alongside the ISO 17516 microbial limits — and enforces them after an ink is on the market. Meeting them is the manufacturer's responsibility.

Ordering Fusion sets from Eikon

Every Fusion bottle goes out individually sealed in its own bag, so a leak in transit costs one bottle instead of the order, and from November through March ink ships with free heat packs so nothing freezes on the way. Safety data sheets live on Fusion's own site, where they stay current.

Fusion ships from our shop in Kingston, Ontario. Order by 1 pm EST Monday to Friday and it leaves the same day, ground is free over $150, and UPS reaches Ontario and southern Quebec the next business day.
