Skin Tone Tattoo Ink Set - Skin Tone Tattoo Ink Set

One box, five skin tones already spaced out for you — Fusion's 5-Colour Flesh Tone Set runs Extra Light to Extra Dark. You get the spacing without buying bottle by bottle and discovering the gaps mid-session. Most client skin sits in the middle three; the outer two are there for when it does not.

What Does a Tone Set Actually Buy You?

A skin tone tattoo ink set buys you spacing — five values cut at intervals someone has already worked out, so any client who sits between two of them is within reach of a step you own.

That is the whole proposition. Assembled from singles the same spread takes months of guessing where the gaps are, and they turn up while you are tattooing rather than in advance.

Fusion's 5-Colour Flesh Tone Set

The set is Fusion's five Flesh Tone steps — Extra Light, Light, Medium, Dark and Extra Dark — in one box.

Of the three skin-tone lines here, Fusion is the one that boxes its range; the other two are sold tone by tone.

The five steps are also available individually, so the set is a packaging choice rather than an exclusive route to the ink.

Both routes reach the same five values — and how the two ladders compare is worth reading first if you have not settled on five steps over three.

What a Set Doesn't Cover

Whatever the ladder underneath it doesn't. A set inherits the range's limits whole, and where this one thins out is covered on the graduated light-to-dark steps page.

The limit particular to a set is undertone. Every step is a depth, not a warm or cool cast, so tones with a specific undertone come from outside any box we carry — the warm and cool undertones are all sold as singles.

The other thing you inherit is one brand's reading of where the five cuts should fall. Another line divides the same ground differently.

Which of the Five You Will Actually Live In

A set gives you five values, but your client base decides which of them you use. Skin clusters through the middle of the range, so for most artists the work runs on Medium and its neighbours while the outer two get reached for occasionally.

That is worth knowing before you buy, because it is the honest test of whether a set suits you: if your clients sit narrow, you are buying five values to work in two, and two singles would reach the same place. If they sit wide, the outer steps are the reason the set earns its keep.

Either way the range widens from here into named portrait tones rather than into a second set — the full tone range across three lines shows what those additions reach that five steps cannot.

Buying Skin Tone Sets in Canada

The set ships from Kingston, Ontario as one box, each of the five sealed inside it. Heat packs are free from November through March.

Ordering needs a verified Pro Account — Eikon sells ink to working artists only, which is trade access rather than a price tier. The product page lists the sizes the five steps come in.

Fusion is notified with Health Canada, as is every brand in the ink range; that is what makes them legal to sell here.
